The Lost Me

Why i am not able to write

Why the world around me is black and white

Why there is so much clutter in my mind,

Why i am the only one of my kind...

The leaves have lost their shape,

I am all fixed, and there is no way to escape...

There is something missing in me,

There is no one to stop me, but still i am not free...

The edges of this moment are broken,

I have nothing to lose, everything is taken...

I want to cry, but there are no tears,

Yesterday it was lost, but still there is fear...

The world of love is making me crazy,

The mist is gone, but still its hazy...

I have a commitment to make,

But every promise is now obsolete...

This should not be the end of my life...

There is lot more to complete.... There is lot more to complete !!!

World Water Shortage...

The sunshine at my door told,
The need of the early hour...
A drop of life, a drop of love,
A single drop to gain some power.

There is no committment, there is no judgement,
Of how you use and how you waste...
The only word is your feel about,
You wanna die now, or live till late.

TRANSCEND.... From Ice age to I.C.E Age..... YUGANTAR

"All changes, even the most longed for, have their melancholy ; for what we leave behind us is a part of ourselves; we must die to one life before we can enter another”

-Anatole France

Transcend is passion to change the existing. We have entered from one yug to the next and from the next to another. The world hasn’t changed but we have changed... us as well as what all we can!! Life is beyond imagination and so we keep on imagining. And thus Transcend defines our thought process that bring innovations in our brains and so a continuous change in the AGES.

The Age that we have left (ice age) was a stable environment, a monotonous and i must say ridiculous history. Nevertheless we have brought ourselves to the dynamic environment of I- Information, C- Communication and E- Entertainment. We have transcend ourselves to world where a single word matters, where a touch of a finger can let us enter to the door of others, where we need not need to travel to communicate, rather an idea(that lasts for 8 seconds in our mind) can travel the whole world within that period. Life is full of enjoyment, happiness and melody.

It just took 40 years for the first 50 million people to own a radio, just 16 years for the first 50 million people to own a PC, but just 5 years for the first 50 million to be on the internet. I respect the tagline of IDEA.. “An idea can change your life”. It was an idea that led to the inventions of Steam Engine, Telephone, Television and so. Two stones brought fire and thus the desire in the mind of Thomas Elva Edison to make a history and lighten up the minds of human beings.

We have transcended in the world of communication so rapidly that now life seems to be very easy. A handwritten letter paved the way for telephones, cellular phones, and even e-mail on the computer. From a mere pencil and paper came a typewriter, this evolved into cordless personal computers that can fit on your lap. And we continued Transcending to the world of internet and google.

Whatever seemed to be Black and White is now colourful. From no music to the life transforming music of Nirvana’s and Metallica, from the never ending schedules of daily life to the world of 20:20’s, life has changed completely. Wheels and Bullock Carts brought Bikes and luxurious cars. A mere thought nothing else. We are no more restricted in our vision. We can see the whole world around us.

Artificial Intelligence, Robotics and what not is revolving around us. Every moment creates many instances and we draft some of them which bring a new revolution. The difference between the AGES... “YUGANTAR” is never been a tinge of masala been added to painting, it’s the transcending nature of a human being that leaded us to “The I.C.E AGE”.. Everything beyond imagination leads to a new invention.

At last i would like to say, it’s only and only a series of new thoughts which gives birth to a new “yug” and thus creates a difference between the present and the past. So keep on transcending because you never know “Another yug might be waiting for you....."

Reality Rocks!!!

An insight into the TRP of Reality TV

“The Heart wants what it wants...”

Woody Allen Woody Allen said it right for the language of love but it’s even true in the world of reality TV shows; people love to see what their heart wants... and producers of reality shows bank on this idea.

Make merry with a tub full of rats. Get a nose job done. Find yourself a date. Start a business with a group of strangers. Pit yourself against a small screen actor for a lucrative contract. It’s all about a wacky idea

— and it looks like it’s here to stay. Here’s bad news for those who thought — rather optimistically, perhaps — that reality shows had lost their steam. On the contrary, these shows are going great guns. Indian audiences, television show ratings reveal, can’t have enough of them.
Television Rating Point (TRP) is a tool provided to judge which programmes are viewed the most. This gives us an index of the choice of the people and also the popularity of a particular channel.

Evidently, the days when reality was defined by unimaginative names, modest sets, nondescript anchors and advertiser problems are long gone. As the names of the shows indicate, today they are mounted on a filmic scale. Not without reason. According to MindShare Insights, a media agency, last year

reality shows generated Rs 225 crore in advertising revenue, an increase of 168 per cent compared to the previous year.

Viewership share too has nearly doubled over the past couple of years from 8 per cent to 14 per cent. And while reality shows are outdone by soaps, which still command a 55 per cent viewership, rating experts believe reality shows will show a three-fold rise in viewership by the end of the year. According to the TAM People meter Systems, a gauge to measure TV viewership, the duration share of reality shows — the total number of hours aired — has been rising steadily, gradually making it a prime-time genre.

But the problem of plenty is fast becoming apparent. New formats, then, hold the key to getting eyeballs. That is, perhaps, why reality shows are moving a step ahead, trying out different formats, instead of merely banking on hand-me-down shows from the West. Cash Cab, telecasted on Bindaas, have participants travel in a cab, cash in tow, with a mission to accomplish in the shortest duration of time. Aaja Mahi Vay on Star Plus tests the love of committed small screen stars. The winners have a dream wedding, footed entirely by the producers of the show, and who can forget the recent successful advent of “Rakhi ka Swayamvar” !With the market for such shows expanding and such huge investments coming in, reality TV targets the youth for guaranteed returns. So creating reality has become a 360 degree act with plenty of masala thrown in for effect.A high dose of masala and controversy can make a difference, and the likes of composer Himesh Reshammiya, singer Abhijeet or even item girl Rakhi Sawant are worth having on the show.

But remember the old saying “Reality Bites...” let’s see what the future holds!
